Holly Robinson Peete Defends John Mayer. WHO MAD?!

"I seriously do not believe John Mayer is a racist. ... But by tweeting he likely wasn't racist ... and for seemingly mounting a defense for his racial insensitivities I got twitter-slapped by my peers and labeled a 'Mammie.' And after 25 years in the business that's a first for my resume."

Honestly I am really tired of hearing about what John Mayer said in his controversial Playboy interview. People can say what the heck they want to. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry are always jumping on the band wagon and getting their Polo boxers and Victoria Secrets 5 for 25 in a bunch for really nothing. Jay-Z said it best when Oprah tried to come at him sideways about using the N-word in his raps...

Oprah: When I met you a few years ago, we discussed our disagreement over the use of the N word and misogynist lyrics in rap music. Do you believe that using the N word is necessary?

Jay-Z: Nothing is necessary. It’s just become part of the way we communicate. My generation hasn’t had the same experience with that word that generations of people before us had. We weren’t so close to the pain. So in our way, we disarmed the word. We took the fire pin out of the grenade.

Now I'm not saying what John said was politically correct but d@mn find another cause to get behind that's worthy of OUR TIME AND ATTENTION.
